The truth is that some plant oils are as lightweight as water yet they have an affinity with skin cells, which means that they can penetrate the skin and work far more effectively than a water-based product.”

Their secret power lies in basic chemistry - the fact that like attracts like and oil attracts oil. The sebum in your skin is a natural oil, so whereas water-based products sit on the surface of the skin and then evaporate, oil-based products penetrate it.
